Product Description

NY-1 Slurry Test Box(Four sets)

Containing:
1. NA-1 Sand Content Tester for Mud
2. NS-1 Water Loss Tester for Mud
3. NB-1 Gravimeter for Mud
4. 1006 Viscometer for Mud

NA-1Slurry Sand Content Tester
The instrument is made as per the Company Standard of Shanghai "Q/YXYY 4-1998 NA-1 Slurry Sand Content Tester".
I. Main structure and technical parameters
The instrument is composed of a filter cylinder with a sieve of 200 meshes, a funnel having the same diameter as that of filter cylinder, and a glass measurement tube. The scale in the glass measurement tube is from 0 to 100%.

II. Procedure
1. Fill slurry into the measurement tube until the slurry reaches to the "slurry" sign and add water into the tube until the water reaches to the "water" sign. Then block the opening of tube and shake the tube vigorously.
2. Pour the mixture into the filter cylinder, and discard the filtered liquids. Add water into the measurement tube, shake the tube and pour the liquids into the filter cylinder. Repeat the procedure until the measurement tube is clean.
3. Flush the sand on the sieve and remove the residual slurry.
4. Cover the filter cylinder using the funnel and turn them over. Make sure the tip of funnel inserts into the measurement tube after turn over the funnel and filter cylinder. Flush the sand on the sieve into measurement tube using water.
5. Read the content of sand after sedimentation.
6. Clean and dry the instrument after test and keep them in the case.

NS-1 Slurry Water Loss Tester

I. Purpose
The instrument is used to determine the water loss of drilling slurry when it goes through a certain size of filtration area within a certain time (30 minute) under stipulated working pressure (0.69 MPa). The instrument has two types, with an inflator, or with a decompression device. The instrument with an inflator can provide air source using the inflator equipped, so it is simple to be operated and convenient to be carried. It is the best choice of the similar instruments.

II. Main technical specification and parameters
1. Working pressure: 0.69 MPa;
2. Effective filtration area: 45.6±0.5 cm2;
3. Cubage of slurry cup: 240 ml;

(1) Graduated flask: 25 ml; It is below the effuse tube at the lower end of slurry cup during test.
(2) Inflator: It is with air storage chamber.
(3) Slurry cup: To hold slurry to be determined.
(4) Discharging valve: to discharge air through this valve during test.
(5) Decompression valve and pressure meter: The decompression valve is used to lower down the pressure of compressed air provided by the inflator and regulate the pressure to testing pressure. The pressure meter is used to show the pressure in the slurry cup.
(6) Standing rod: It is a two-section pull-out standing rod; it is used to hold and fix the slurry cup, decompression valve, and other parts of the instrument.
(7) Pedestal: It is made of cast iron.

NB-1 Slurry Gravimeter
I. Purpose and scope
The instrument is designed and made as per the Industry Standard of Petrochemical of People's Republic of China SY/T 5381 "Technical Specification for Drilling Fluid Gravimeter". It is suitable to determine gravity of slurry in the drilling field or in the laboratory. The unit is g/cm3.
The instrument is widely used for slurry gravity determination in the geology exploration drilling field or engineering pile construction area. It can also be used for fluid gravity determination in the other fields.

II. Main technical specification, parameters, and operation conditions
(I) Main technical specification and parameters
1. Measurement range: 0.96~3.00 g/cm3;
2. Test accuracy: 0.01 g/cm3;
3. Cubage of slurry cylinder: 140 cm3;
4. Size: 500 (Length) ×100 (Width) ×100 (Height);
(II) Operation conditions
1. Ambient temperature: 5~40 ºC;
2. Relative humidity: 10%~75%;
3. Barometric pressure: 86~108 kPa;
4. Environment air: there should not have any mediums, which are corrosive to chromium and nickel coating, nonferrous metal, and other alloys.
5. Instrument installation: The instrument should be installed on a stable and flat workbench.
III. Structure
The structure of the instrument is shown as Fig.1.
(1) Slurry cylinder: It has a cover and it is used to hold test sample.
(2) Water level: to check whether the instrument is level.
(3) Main cut: It is a support point used to hold the instrument with the main cut cushion.
(4) Main cut cushion: It is a support point used to hold the instrument with the main cut.
(5) Pedestal: There are two holes on the pedestal of the instrument for instrument installation. If necessary, you can fix it on a stable workbench.
(6) Stop arm: To restrict the lever from moving forwards or backwards.
(7) Lever: It forms the measurement system together with main cut, main cut cushion, and weight, etc.
(8) Weight: It is movable.
(9) Balance cylinder: It is equipped with a cover. The balance of lever can be achieved by adding or reducing the balance lead in the balance cylinder during manufacture, calibration and inspection procedures.

 1006 Slurry Viscometer

The instrument is made as per the Company Standard of Shanghai "Q/YXYY6-1998 1006 Slurry Viscometer".
I. Purpose
The instrument is used for measuring the viscosity of slurry. The viscosity of slurry is determined by measuring the elapsed time for flowing out 500 cm3 slurry from the1006 Viscometer. Its unit is second.

II. Main technical specification and parameters
1. The effuse tube of the instrument is a brass tube, which is 5 mm in diameter and 100 mm in length.
2. The elapsed time for flowing out 500 cm3 water from the instrument is 15 s.
3. The cubage at one end of the graduated flask is 500 cm3, and it is 200 cm3 at other end.
4. Weight: about 2.5 kg.

III. Main structure

1.Viscometer    2. Graduated flask   3. Sieve    4. Slurry cylinder
Fig.1
The instrument likes a funnel and has an effuse tube at the end. The instrument has a handle, where there are two holes. The holes are used for hanging the instrument to nails in the wall, so that the instrument can keep vertical. The graduated flask is separated into two parts. At one end, the cubage is 500 ml, at the other end it is 200 ml.
The instrument has equipped with a sieve and a cylinder. The cubage of cylinder is about 1000 ml, and the diameter of the cylinder is the same as that of the instrument, so the sieve can be used for both of them. The number of holes in each decimeter is 16.

IV. Procedure
Please clean the instrument using water before test. Stir slurry in the slurry mixer for 1 min. block the effuse tube by your finger, and then fill 500 ml and 200 ml slurry into the instrument through the sieve using the graduated flask.
Place a 500 ml graduated flask under the effuse tube. Move away your finger for blocking the effuse tube and start timing. Stop timing when the slurry in the graduated flask reaches to 500 ml. Record the elapsed time as the viscosity of slurry tested. If you did not stir the slurry before test, you should repeat these procedures until the elapsed time is stable.
It is convenient to hang the instrument on the wall, so you can do tests by yourself. Please clean the instrument, sieve, and graduated flask using water after test.
The elapsed time calibrated by water is taken as the water value. If the water value is more than 15 s, it indicates that the effuse tube is not clean, please clean it using a cloth strap or a banister brush. If the water value is less than 15 s, please replace the effuse tube. In normal, the water value is 15±0.5 s.
